The Toast POS alternative for European restaurants
Toast, Square for Restaurants and Lightspeed are great in the US - they were built around US payment rails and proprietary hardware. Tayim is built EU-first: EUR-native, GDPR-compliant, browser-only, with online ordering, POS, KDS and courier in one flat-fee plan.

FAQ
Is Tayim a real alternative to Toast POS in Europe?
Yes. Toast operates primarily in the US and Canada. Tayim is built for European restaurants with EUR-native pricing, EU data hosting, and full GDPR compliance. The feature set covers what most independent Toast customers actually use: POS, kitchen display, online ordering, and delivery management.
Do I need to buy special hardware like with Toast?
No. Tayim runs in any modern browser on tablets, laptops, or phones - including the hardware you already own. There is no proprietary terminal lock-in.
How does Tayim compare to Square for Restaurants or Lightspeed?
Square and Lightspeed bundle hardware, payments, and software. Tayim is software-only and integrates with your existing payment provider - which keeps monthly cost low and avoids long contracts. For most independent restaurants, the cost difference is several hundred EUR per month.
What about payments?
Tayim supports cash, card-at-counter, and online card payments via standard processors (Stripe, etc). You keep your existing merchant agreement - Tayim does not lock you into a single payment provider.
Can I migrate from Toast to Tayim?
Yes. Menu import is straightforward (CSV or copy-paste). Most restaurants migrate over a weekend: import menu, set up subdomain, train staff on the new POS view. We help with the transition on Solo and Multi plans.
